1. What types of inappropriate behaviour or safety issues are of the greatest concern for our school?

- aggression

- vexation

- superiority by some pupils

- little examples of „old handing“ (e. g. elder x younger pupils - jumping the queue at the school canteen etc.)

In the classroom

3. What do you feel is the most common problem related to pupil behaviour or safety?

- bad upbringing by parents – lack of discipline (they let children do what they want)

- no respect for the teachers

- children´s inattention

- smoking

- indifference of people around

- overvaluing someone´s abilities, no thinking over the risks and consequences

 

4. When you come to school during evenings (for meetings, or to talk with the teachers) do you feel safe? Can you explain why or why not?

- most people feel safe

- lack of illumination

 

5. Can you give any solutions for the safetyproblems from above?

- give both school and teachers more authority (also outside the school!)

- good parents´upbringing (keeping rules, discipline, severity, tolerance to others, friendship)

- good laws

- better communication (Teacher – Pupil, Teacher – Parent)

discusing safety risks with children (what-why-when-where?)

- more attention paid to problems of drugs, vexation, violence etc. at school

- solving problems immediately and effectively (responsibility of the parents!)

- establishing a special box for children´s opinions, suggestions, problems ...

6. How do you think your child helps to make school a safe and pleasant place?

- our school is considered by many parents to be pleasant and safety place

- other opinions

- keeping rules (show rules and values – keeping rules)

- friendship, toleration, good communication among children

- respect both for teachers and the children

- listening each other (teachers – children, children – children...)

- make mention of tease (school, parents)

- good example by teachers, parents, other people

- no indifference by people around (both adults and children)

- thinking has to precede acting!

- hobbies

- open to discussions for problems

On the whole we can say that:

- the most important thing to prevent inappropriate behaviour is parental upbringing! (respect for other people, toleration, listening to each other, friendship ...)

- the school, teachers should be given more authority for struggle with all the mentioned behaviour – problems (it´s connected with legislation)

- important role of the public (not to be indifferent, call attention to children´s behaviour etc.)
